The aim of the course is that the student

- understands the basics of infection
prevention and
asepsis and can justify their significance for
nursing
- is familiar with the most common and relevant
diseases
caused by viruses and bacteria, their
prevention and
matters considered in nursing

After completing the course, the student is expected to be
able to understand the importance of aseptics for the fight against infection.

- microbiology
- prevention of infections and basics of
asepsis
- diseases caused by microbes
- prevention of infectious diseases and
activities in
nursing
- prevention of highly contagious diseases

No previous knowledge required.

To pass the course the student should pass the
following examinations:
