The aim of the course is to give the student a
basic knowledge of Finnish and to deepen the
ability to manage in everyday situations, to
practice the pronunciation and increase the
vocabulary by oral tasks etc.
Within this study unit we focus on the following

Learning outcomes
You have the knowledge how to act in Finnish in
basic everyday situations. You have a basic
vocabulary and you can communicate in familiar
everyday situations in Finnish.
You learn about:
- how to tell about everyday situations.
- how to communicate about your studies and basic
work tasks
- how to use partitive
- how to conjugate verbs in present tense and
past tense (present tense and imperfect)
- the basics of how the Finnish object
- III. infinitive
Course contents
Further basic grammar
Vocabulary of the daily life, professional
situations and education.
Texts and oral and written exercises.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Finnish for Beginners I and II -knowledge is
required. A.1.2 (European framework)
