Competency aims
The student can identify and describe key concepts
and processes in financial management. Choose the
appropriate form of enterprise and prepare
elementary budgets.
Understand the basics of marketing and know how to
choose the right marketing channels.
Know some tools for selling and understand how to
apply a service mindset in business.
Understand the role of CSR and know how to
evaluate business impacts.
Understand the connection between logistics,
delivery service and the company´s profitability.
Know tools for assortment planning,
estimating demand and inventory management and
understand the impact of purchasing and logistic
decisions on the sustainability of the business.

Learning outcomes of the course include:
Defining a vision and mission statement for your
business
Learning how to conduct a market analysis
Basic knowledge about selling and service design
Knowledge of marketing channels and competence in
how to
create a marketing plan
Accounting and budgeting as well as pricing and

This course is for anyone with a business idea or
who has just started a business - field or industry
of business does not matter.

Additional information
The lectures will as a rule be held twice a week,
Mondays and Wednesdays from 8.30-10.30.
The course will go online, except for the kick-off
on the 10th of January and the final event on the
16th of May.
