Learning outcomes
Skill to model mathematically mechanical properties
of fiber reinforced materials and their density.
Understand the usefulness of these materials as light
weight structural materials for energy efficient
transportation and the benefit of their corrosion
resistance for sustainable industrial applications.
Course contents
Theory on rule of mixtures, Classic lamina theory,
ABD matrix and modelling of fiber reinforced material
stiffness.
Manufacturing of sample and their mechanical testing
