Competency aims
The aim of the course is to give the student
readiness to work with energy renewal projects
and
renovation of buildings as project manager,
planning manager or site engineer. The student
learns to take the National Energy and Climate
Strategy 2013 into consideration while aiming
to save energy.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is
expected
to be able to:
- plan a basic investment project
- have enough knowledge about the stipulations
in
the National Building Code of Finland
- plan HVAC-designing
- know how to use and analyse data from
different measuring equipment
- know how to use and analyse data by using
heat cameras
- understand basic investment calculation
- understand time schedule planning
- calculate financing estimations
Course contents
The planning of the energy renewal project will
be
done as follows
- to make up a project plan together with the
buyer/client
- the project plan will be surveyed with
measuring
instruments developed in Arcada
- the project plan will be filmed and analyzed
with heat camera
- to execute the condition of the object before
designing
- the project will be planned in 3D, with help
of existing blueprints
