Competency aims
The aim of the course is to gain an understanding
on how heat pumps and air conditioning systems are
used in buildings.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is
expected to be able to:
- Understand terminology, standards and
stipulations related to cooling systems
- Understand basic processes in cooling
systems, thermodynamics and the Carnot-process
- Know dimensioning criteriass for cooling
systems
- Know dimensioning criteriass for heat pumps
- Know which energy sources are most suitable
for different heat pump-systemss
