Competency aims
The student learns to identify and produce
various types of media texts. She/he knows the
basics in interview technique.
She/he is familiar with the concepts text, genre,
target audience, function, culture, communication
and journalism.
Learning outcomes
After the course the student understands some of
the focal concepts which related to media and
communication.
She/he can produce various media texts, and also
to work with deadlines. She/he can give and make
use of feedback, ans also analyse media texts
from e.g. a functional perspective.
She/he can pinpoint weaknesses and strengths with
various media texts.
Course contents
The student reads texts that enhance her/his
insights on media texts in society.
The student prepares questions for a genre
specific tv-program and undertakes interviews in
a tv-studio.
The student writes various media texts.
The students formulates and recieves feedback and
learns thereby to understand the differences
between texts as processes and products.
