Through the study unit, students get an opportunity to deepen or expand their skills within their specific focus together with other students or professionals with a specific professional focus. The study unit also highlights, through practical work, different models for problem solving for creative production within a specific genre.
Approach
The study unit expands the specific student's contact network. The student gets the opportunity to broaden his approach to working in a group with creative productions within a specific genre.
Course contents
The course includes practical recording work in an assigned role in a film crew for the production of a short film, short documentary or any other form of audiovisual production.
The course includes, in addition to practical work in a production team, briefing before recording under supervision and joint evaluation of the work in the production team together with other team members and teachers on the training program.
A participation in the course and the assigned specific task within the production teams is confirmed through the pitch procedure in the course where the production is included. In exceptional cases, the course can be given as part of another university's production activities.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Participation in the course requires sufficient prior knowledge for the assigned task in production. An assessment of the prior knowledge takes place in discussion with teachers whose teaching the task falls under.
Additional information
The course performance can be completed at any time during the study period. Participation in several productions carried out at different times during the studies may together constitute the content of the course. Each production should be reported separately. The report should include the following elements:
- description of the production and one's own tasks
- reflection on the collaboration within the team
- reflection on one's own learning vis-à-vis the competence goals in the study unit and in relation to one's own studies
- investigation of the time consumption
