Competency aims

The aim of this course is that students will practice their ability to express themselves in writing analytical and reflective about television and television messages.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student is expected to have developed deeper ability to bring analytical and reflective reasoning about television and its message

Course contents

In order to benefit from the course, students select five television series from different countries and three concepts in three different genres and write two essays of 2250 words each. An essay on the TV series from different countries and an essay on various program concepts. The essays shall include: - Facts about the works under consideration. This means information on production, production year, screenwriter, director, producer and another that can be interesting about the output appearance. - Personal opinions, reflections and analysis that addresses differences and similarities between the concepts around the notion that humanity, of knowledge, worldview, ethics and morality, jenusperspektiv, psychology, rhetoric, dramaturgy, aesthetics, scenery, image narration, sound work, etc. TV Series: Five television shows from different countries. Concept: 3 TV concept Pick out three concepts from three different genres such as: - Lifestyle Program - Food Program - Race Entertainment, not sports - Program up contacts - Psychology and Health - Reality - Magazine Program - Talk show - Culture - Children's Programs - Youth Programs
