Competency aims
The aim of the course is to
-get a competence in vaccination
-understand the importance of vaccinations and the
national vaccination program
- have knowledge on the diseases prevented by
vaccines
- understand the importance of vaccines and
vaccinating of persons with special needs
- be able to plan and implement the situation of
vaccination
-be able to perform guidance of vaccinations
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to:
- know the National Vaccination program and the
vaccines in it
- know the diseases that are prevented with
vaccines
- motivate questions around vaccines and
vaccinating
- know the contraindications on vaccination
- manage vaccination techniques
- have knowledge in immunisation
- have knowledge on storage and handeling vaccines
before and after the vaccination.
Course contents
Learning takes place in a web environment. The
course consists of materials and links that
support the learning process, such as text, films,
learning assignments, case examples, images,
literature and other sources.
The study unit contains a total of seven learning
assignments that you do individually. You compile
the answers to the learning assignments in a
portfolio and test your knowledge with the pop-up
assignments available on the pages. When your
personal portfolio for the study unit is ready,
you demonstrate your knowledge through an
individual exam available on Moodle.
