Competency aims

The aim of the course is to build up a mathematical basis for further studies in mathematics and physics

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course the student is expected to - be able to deal with real and complex numbers - know elementary functions and their graphs - be able to solve equations, inequalities and systems of equations - be able to apply basic concepts of linear algebra

Course contents

Real and Complex Numbers Functions and their graphs -Elementary Functions -Exponential and Logarithmic Functions -Trigonometric Functions -Composite and Invers Functions Equations -Solving Equations, Inequalities and Sets of Equations (also approximative methods) Linear algebra - matrices and determinants - applications on systems of linear equations
