Competency aims
The aim of the course is to give students the required experience and skills required for planning, performing and reporting any significant research project and in particular their degree thesis topic.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to:
- get the opportunity to do the degree thesis for a company
- write & submit a research proposal for a thesis topic
- conduct a literature search on the thesis topic and write a a literature review

Course content:
- Approaching companies (CV, cover letter).
- Selecting a thesis topic.
- Research proposal.
- Literature search and review.
- Project plan for degree thesis.
- Guidelines for thesis work (Arcada)
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Recommended to start once 70% of all courses in Professional Studies have been completed.
