Competency aims
The aim of the course is to give knowledge on polymer properties.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to explain the thermomechanical behaviour of polymers. The student is expected to to be able to evaluate material's suitability to application based on thermomechanical properties.
Course contents
Polymeric materials and their thermomechanical properties:
- amorphous solid state
- crystalline solid state
- effect of temperature on mechanical properties.
