The aim of the course is to provide the student
basic knowledge in computer architecture and
operating systems as well as skills in
installation
and administration of a server operating
system.

At the end of the course the student is
expected
to
be able to understand:
- the architecture and features of processors
- computer memory hierarchy
- the functionality and structure of
operatingsystems
and install and configure Linux as a server
operating system.

- Memory systems
- Parallel processor architectures and pipeline
functionality
- Operating systems
- Installation and configuration of Linux as
server operating system
- Installation of server services.
