Competency aims

To teach the student to design web pages and to
maintain and develop websites. The course deals
with basics in designing of websites and Internet
programming. It introduces the student to
protocols, languages and technologies used on the
web.

Learning outcomes

  1. Understands the most important components of
    the Internet and knows how they work.
  2. Knows the Internet protocols and how to use
    them.
  3. Knows how to build and maintain web pages with
    HTML5 and CSS.
  4. Knows the most important web-editors and knows
    how to use them.
  5. Understands the problems of integrating
    multimedia.
  6. Can implement dynamic web pages by modifying
    DOM with JavaScript.
