Understand the scientific foundations, chemical
structure, thermodynamics, phase equilibria, for
the behaviour of engineering materials such as
metals, polymers, ceramics and biomaterials.

Have competency in performing calculations and
laboratory experiments relating to the chemistry
of materials. (Skill)

Engineering Chemistry

The course is meant only for 2nd year students and
for students who have an individual study plan
approved by the study counsellor or permission to
take the course by the teacher.
