Competency aims

The aim of the course is that Student is able to expound upon statistical material and is familiar with the basics of statistical reasoning. To familiarize student with descriptive statistics and probability counting and statistical decision making.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to use of Health Care research data of statistics in the real-world.

Course contents

Topics include sampling and experimentation, descriptive statistics, probability, binomial and normal distributions, estimation, single sample and two sample hypothesis tests for means and proportions. Additional topics will be selected from descriptive methods in regression and correlation.
