In this study unity we will focus on the following
competences:
Virtualization and digital twins
Machine learning, decision support system
development and artificial intelligence with focus
on:
Planning, development and testing of machine
learning based AI models for autonomous agents in
a simulated 3D environment.
Learning outcomes
After completed study unit:
You are familiar with common and modern techniques
for AI (knowledge)
You know the basics in machine learning
(knowledge)
You learn how to create autonomous behavior for
computer characters/agents in a 3D simulation
environment using ruled based artificial
intelligence (skill)
You know how to design and create AI models based
on machine learning (skill)
You see the possibilities with AI and how
different AI models could be implemented also in
real environments (approach)

Implementation of AI solutions for autonomous
agents in 3D environments:
Pathfinding
Finite State Machines
Introduction to machine learning
Reinforcement learning

- 4 projects on AI in unity (max 100p)
- Guestlectures on image processing (active
participation gives 15 bonus points!)
The projects must be handed in on time and be
presented on 1 of 3 alternative project feedback

A minimum of 50p is required for approved course.
