Competency aims
To provide the student with a basic knowledge of how to operate different kinds of accommodation companies and the products (services and others)in the hotel industry as well as technical aids in the industry
The student should also understand the customer life cycle as well as quality in customer service.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to identify how different accommodation companies operate and how they differ from each other.
The student should also be able to apply his/her service ability in practice, to understand the idea of profitability in the service industry, and be able to give expression to customer life cycle preferences in the accommodation industry

Accommodation business concepts, key ratios, product and service structures, basics of reception work, tasks and technical requirements. Marketing in the hospitality industry
