Competency aims
To provide a basic knowledge of mental health care and an understanding of the most common psychiatric disorders and the treaments of them. Stress is placed on the mental health of older people.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to understand the meaning of psychiatric care. Furthermore the student understands the fundamental aspects of mental health care and is able to encounter people with different kinds of mental health problems.
