Food waste is edible food for human consumption that is not consumed. Food waste occurs at all stages of the food chain, but especially in households. Therefore, the annual Food Waste Week is organised to raise awareness of food waste and thus reduce the amount of food that is thrown away. Arcada participates in the Food Waste Week as part of the Green Office programme.
