Would you like to get started with outdoor exercise while enjoying a sense of community? In April, four walking and running sessions will be organised for students and staff at Arcada.
All sessions are free of charge and require no prior registration – just turn up! All sessions start from Lion Square outside Arcada.
Wednesday 8 April, 16:30–18:00: Walk together with physiotherapy student Kira Shkarun
Monday 13 April, 17:00–19:30: Smiling pace with Jani Nåls
A slow-paced run in so-called “smiling pace”, meaning you can talk (and smile) while running. The session includes stretching before and after. For the adventurous, there will also be an opportunity to try barefoot running!
Wednesday 22 April, 16:00–17:00: Heart rate and pep intervals with Mia Wägar
An interval session to raise your heart rate. We alternate between faster and slower tempos – suitable for everyone. Perfect for energy, enjoyment and getting your body moving.
Tuesday 28 April, 07:00–08:30: Fast running and strength with Thomas Hellstén
Warm-up, fast running and strength training in the beautiful surroundings of Arabia.
