Sofia holds an MA in Acting from the St. Petersburg State Theater Arts Academy (RGISI) and drama-instructor (YH) degree from Turku Academy of Arts. During her more than 10 years in the field, she has been involved in the field of Performing Arts both on and behind the scene - primarily as an actor and director, but also as a scriptwriter and dramaturgical advisor. Parallel to her artistic activity, she teaches actors, dancers, drama instructors and cultural producers, amateurs and professionals, children and adults in various contexts.

Sofia is active in the bilingual, multidisciplinary nomadic theater The Mental Airlines (Grus Grus Teatteri), a provider of experience services. She was a member of the artistic core group that actively developed the theater's artistic line and created content for the main- and touring repertoire between 2013-2023.
