"My passion for student-centered learning and student’s professional development has inspired me to research focusing on self-directed learning and the social construction of student learning in the context of Universities of Applied Sciences".

During Haldin’s over 15 years as a teacher and educationalist she has continuously contributed to the pedagogical development at the UAS. Her main interest lies in both student-centered curriculum design and competence-based curriculum design. An important part of her work with curriculum development has been the networking with other Higher Education Institutions in Europe and in the Nordic countries. Her expertise also includes coaching processes for student’s professional development.
