The campus mobile key is personal and can be used to access classrooms and computer labs on weekdays between 7.00 and 20.30 and on weekends between 9.00 and 16.30 (access to the facilities is limited).

How do students get access to the campus?

The Arcada key system has been renewed. Below instructions for new and old students.

New students

All students are entitled to a mobile key that grants access to the teaching facilities used by their own programme. The activation fee for the mobile key is 25 euros. 

Follow these steps to get started with your new mobile key: 

  1. download the HID Mobile Access app 
  2. log in to Arcada’s Account Services (AAS)
  3. pay the 25 euro fee 
  4. log in to the key management system and accept the terms of use. After acceptance, you will receive a personal activation code via email from Abloy (also check your spam folder). 
  5. activate the app using the personal code you receive (the code is valid for 5 days). 
  6. read the terms and conditions for the new mobile key and the rules of order at Arcada. 

Old students

Return your old flex key to the Arcada info and get a mobile key to the campus.

  1.  log in to Arcada's account management service: Arcada Account Services (AAS).
  2.  fill in your bank account number, the deposit will be returned to the bank account. If you no longer access AAS please contact the Arcada info or campus@arcada.fi.
  3. please return your flex key to the Arcada info and follow the instructions sent to your email how to get a new mobile key. 
  4. if you finish your studies and do not need a mobile key, you can also leave the flex key in Arcada's mailbox outside the main entrance (with your name in an envelope) or send the flex key (at your own responsibility) to Yrkeshögskolan Arcada/Campustjänster, Jan-Magnus Janssons plats 1, 00560 Helsingfors.
  5. if you have lost your old flex key, please contact campus@arcada.fi.
  6. read the terms and conditions for the new mobile key and the rules of order at Arcada. 

When you have returned the flex key to the Arcada info, the responsibility for the flex key transfers to Arcada.
