What does gender equality and equal treatment mean?
Equality means that everyone, regardless of gender, should have the same rights, opportunities and responsibilities in all areas of life, including education. Equality means treating everyone with respect and without discrimination, regardless of their background, ethnicity, religion, disability, learning difficulty or sexual orientation. Promoting gender equality and equal treatment at Arcada can mean a safer study environment, greater opportunities to be heard, and a climate where everyone feels welcome and respected.
