To improve the security of Arcada's digital services, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will become mandatory for all logins outside Arcada's network starting on 2 November 2026. All users are encouraged to install and configure an authentication application well in advance.

Why is MFA being introduced?

Cybersecurity threats and account compromise attempts continue to increase. A username and password alone are no longer sufficient to protect access to services and data. MFA adds an additional layer of security and helps ensure that only authorized users can access Arcada's systems and information.

With MFA, users must verify their identity using a second authentication method in addition to their username and password when signing in from outside Arcada's network

What do You need to do?

All users are strongly encouraged to install and register an authentication app, which is the recommended MFA method at Arcada.

To prepare:

How does it work?

When signing in to Arcada services outside the Arcada network, you will first enter your username and password. You will then receive an authentication request in your authentication app. Once you approve the request, the sign-in process will be completed.

Need help?

Further information and installation instructions for MFA are available here. You can contact IT support if you have any questions or need assistance.

Important: If you have not registered an MFA method before 2 November 2026, you may experience difficulties accessing Arcada services from outside the Arcada network. Please set up an authentication app as soon as possible.
