The Project Management Institute (PMI) is the world's leading professional non-profit association for project, program, and portfolio management professionals, founded in 1969. It supports over 3 million professionals globally by setting industry standards, offering certifications (such as the PMP), conducting research, and providing networking opportunities.

In Finland, PMI has been operating since 2005, and the organization is entirely run by volunteers.

PMI has several Student Clubs registered in different countries around the world, and it is now considering establishing one in Finland consisting of Arcada students.

The Student Club will be governed and led by its members (students), with advisory support provided by the PMI Finland Chapter.
