On Thursday 5 March, 17:00–19:00, Nyyti ry’s QueerMieli project is organising an English-speaking online peer support session for international LGBTQIA+ students in Finnish higher education.

How does everyday student life feel for you as an LGBTQIA+ student? Experiences may include minority stress and cultural challenges, as well as pride, safety and queer joy. This online peer support session offers a safer space to share experiences and reflect on well-being in student life.

The session ‘Queer joy is for everyone – strengthening identity and well-being in higher education’ focuses on queer joy, self-acceptance and identity expression. We will explore ways to strengthen self-esteem, support mental well-being and share practical self-care tools in an international study context.

The session is free of charge, held online, and has a limited number of participants.
