At Arcada, we celebrate International Nurses Day on 12 May 2026 by welcoming our students, alumni, and partners to a free seminar.
The International Council of Nurses has announced this year’s theme: “Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.“ The theme highlights, among other things, the importance of ensuring that working conditions within healthcare are appropriate and well-functioning, enabling nurses to provide the best possible care.
International Nurses Day at Arcada is filled with inspiring lectures by the experts Shadia Rask, Jan Bäckman and Niko Herlin. Arcada’s healthcare students will also have the opportunity to attend the afternoon screening of "I Swear" at Bio Riviera in Kallio, with a limited number of seats available.
As the event has limited capacity, please register no later than 24 April 2026 .
Please note: If you are on practical training, participation in International Nurses Day may be counted as internship hours.
