Arcada University of Applied Sciences arranges graduation ceremonies twice a year, for the graduates during the past six months.
Please note that during the pandemic, the graduation ceremony will be hosted online. This page's information is meant for traditional graduation ceremonies that are held on campus.
Graduates who will take part in the graduation ceremony in June 2021 will receive instructions about their participation via email.
Time and place
The graduations ceremonies during the Academic Year 2020-2021 are held January 22 2021 at 15:00 and June 18 2021 at 15:00. in Arcada UAS. As a graduate you need to be at Arcada 30 minutes before the ceremony starts.
Invitation and r.s.v.p.
Confirm your own and your guests attendance at the graduation ceremony by registering in time. The registration link is sent by email (your private email that you give when you apply for your degree certificate) to all graduates from the last six months prior to the ceremony.
The graduates proceed into the Big Square together in the beginning of the ceremony. The entrance is lead by the Rector and the Heads of the Departments. All graduates are requested to be at Arcada no later than 14:30 where the amanuensis will help you find you correct place in the procession.
No degree certificates are handed out during the graduation ceremony, but all graduates are given roses, a greeting letter and are personally congratulated by the Rector and your Head of Department. The ceremony takes approx. one hour. After the ceremony all graduates, guests and staff join in a toast for our newest alumni. Photographing will be arranged for those who wish.
As a graduate you are welcome to invite two guests to attend the ceremony. Unfortunately the number of guests are limited due to the amount of seats. Please confirm your guests attendance when you confirm your own participation in the ceremony.
