The development of general competences starts in general education studies, continues through integration in professional studies and is deepened in development studies and research studies.
Official language competence
The Language Unit assesses students' knowledge of the domestic languages and the results are stated in their degree certificates in accordance with section 6 of the Act on the Knowledge of Languages Required of Personnel in Public Bodies (424/2003). Profession-specific competences
The four profession-specific competencies of the degree programme are based on society's and working life's need for educated, relevant labour. The core of the degree programme is competence in sustainable value creation, which permeates the other profession-specific competencies. The other three profession-specific competencies are: competence in evidence-based business practice, competence in leadership and competence in increased resilience.
