Students within the Healthcare, Health and Welfare programmes must carry a valid ID card during their practical training. This card serves as identification on-site to ensure security, confidentiality, and access to healthcare facilities.

Photo guidelines for your ID card
Please follow these instructions carefully when uploading your photo to ensure your ID card is approved:
- The photo must be a color passport-style portrait facing the camera directly.
- Please have someone else take the photo for you; selfies will not be accepted.
- You may use a smartphone, provided the image quality is sharp and clear.

Stand against a plain, light-colored background with no other people or distracting objects in the frame.
Name your image file using FirstnameLastname_programme, for example AnnaGrönberg_nursing
Deadlines for applying for your ID card for the academic year 2026–2027:
- 21.9.2026 and 14.12.2026
- 1.2.2027 and 19.4.2027
Collecting your ID card
- Your ID card will be ready for collection at the Arcada Information Desk approximately one week after each deadline.
- Please pick up your card within 2 months of submitting your application.
- Remember to bring a valid ID (driver's license, passport, or official ID card) to confirm your identity upon collection.
