To work in a social welfare or health care profession in Finland, you must have a licence granted by the Finnish Supervisory Agency. The Finnish Supervisory Agency grants the right to practise a social welfare or health care profession on application to professionals trained in Finland.

Remember to apply for the right to practise in social welfare or health care if you graduate as a:

  • Nurse

This is to be done once you have completed your degree and the completion is registered in the national VIRTA or KOSKI education and training data service. You can check if your degree is registered by logging in to the National education and training data service (KOSKI) . If your degree is not yet registered in KOSKI, please wait until you have received your degree certificate before contacting us in this matter. You will also receive a notification in Sisu when your degree has been approved. After that, it will take another two days before you can see your degree information in KOSKI.
