When you transfer to Arcada, your previous studies (which form the basis for your admission to Arcada) will be accredited in accordance with the process described on this page. The information on this page applies only to the studies that form the basis for your transfer.
When applying for a transfer to Arcada, you submit your previous study attainments as part of your application. During the initial information session for transfer students, you will receive a preliminary assessment of which studies at Arcada may be replaced by your previous studies. You will also receive a preliminary proposal for which course units (courses) you should enrol in during the first two periods. This will help you plan the start of your studies and ensure that you can begin your studies right away.
During the information session, you will receive guidance on:
- how to apply for accreditation of previous studies
- how to create your study plan
- how to enrol in course units
After receiving the preliminary assessment outlining which of your previous studies can be accredited, you must submit the assessment you have received from your study counsellor by using the form for transfer-accreditations. This is required for the credits to be registered. This form is only used for the accreditation of the studies on the basis of which you applied for and were granted a transfer. Please note that you must apply separately for the recognition of any language studies via e-lomake or through validation via Sisu. Read more about language studies here, at Start.
