Nursing students with previous nursing experience can apply to validate their practical training. Please read this information carefully. To apply, fill out the form on this page and attach the required documents.

Bachelor and Top-Up students

Before you apply:

  • Contact nursetraining teachers: Discuss your plans and make sure you are eligible for validation.
  • Read the instructions: Find the validation instructions on our learningplatform.
  • Complete your assignments: Make sure you have finished all tasks required for the specific course.

When you apply:

  • Select the correct course in the form.
  • Attach all required documents (and only the documents for that specific course).

Note: You can apply for validation twice a year.

Deadline: 

  • August 31
  • January 31

If you are graduating in December or May and need to validate your work, please email nursetraining@arcada.fi.

Application

There are two different applications. Choose the one that applies to you.

  1. I have started my studies  before 1 Aug 2025 as Bachelor, SAILA, TopUp (National or International) .
  2. I have started my Top Up studies (National or International) after 1 Aug 2025.

Request for reconsideration of decision

If you are dissatisfied with the decision, you may within two weeks after the decision has been communicated contact nursetraining@arcada.fi. A student who after this remains dissatisfied with the decision may seek correction of it by the Examination Board: https://start.arcada.fi/en/my-studies/rules-and-rights/degree-statutes.
