The main aim of this course is to offer the student the opportunity to deepen their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in a chosen field.

Läranderesultat

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
Communicate effectively with clients, families and other members of the healthcare team.

Work both independently and as a member of a team.

Develop confidence and competency in a range of nursing skills

Understand the boundaries in professional practice and deepen their awareness of self and patient safety.

Further develop their understanding of professional and ethical advocacy when caring for patients. For example the student should be able to perform a risk assessment while planning and providing patient care.

Practical training according the instructions given.

Förkunskaper

The student must first have accomplished the following Internships/courses. Clinical Care Practical Training, Medical-Surgical Practical Training and Medication Administration and Dosage Calculation exam is valid.

Mer information

The practical placements are reserved by JobStep and during the time they are in the curriculum at least 2 weeks before the start of the practice
so there is time to confirm the place.

Confirmed practical training place must be cancelled 2 weeks before the start in case of that student can´t attend the training.

The CV needs to be updated before reservations.

Inform the teacher that you are going to practical training.

Examinationskrav

-The first week of practical training the student will provide the teacher with their contact information and the contact information of their practical training placement as well as their goals.
-A minimum number of days and hours per day will be set prior to the student beginning their practical training and must be accomplished by each student.
-The student must receive a passing grade during their practical training experience.
-The student must submit a reflective diary upon completion of the practical training period.
