The student is able to prepare good management
reports of outcome vs budget.

Läranderesultat

After the course the Student understands the
linkage between strategy, annual plans and
budgets. The student can prepare plans and
budgets and knows how to prepare informative
management reports of outcome vs. budget.

Budgeting and Budgets:
Income statement budgets
Balance sheet forecasts
Cash-flow budgets.

Best practices of management reporting

Förkunskaper

Introduction to Business Administration,
Introduction to Financial Management, or
equivalent knowledge (needs to be discussed with

Individual hand-in assignment
* Preparing a budget for a business case
* Explaining and justifying choices and
solutions in the budget
* Answering specific questions asked in the
assignment
* designing a management reporting structure for
actual outcome vs. budget
* Failed assignment can be re-submitted
* Grade cannot be improved on afterwards
Missing a deadline will reduce the grade by one
!!
Bonus points for attendance at lectures.
