Since January 1, 2021, you who are a degree student at a university of applied sciences have access to the Finnish Student Health Services (FSHS). Read more about the change in student health care here.
Booking of student lockers As of August 2015, the system for booking student lockers (found on the first floor near the main entrance) has been renewed. Hereafter the booking is made electronically for one academic year at a time and the lockers are emptied before summer. The student lockers have been refitted with a new system for locking them, which means that you now can lock them with your own padlock. How do I book a locker?To book a locker, click here.
If you're an old student, i.e. you started your studies before the fall of 2014 your email account is on the old Webmail. You can now choose to switch to Outlook. This procedure will happen automatically at the end of the year. Read the instructions carefully and activate the migration here.
During the start of the new academic year a new version of Arcadas online study guide start.arcada.fi has been launched with many new features. The study guide is completely online based and replaces the old study guide, the old news channel My Arcada and intro.arcada.fi. The goal has been to create a smart and modern digital tool that also is suitable for smartphones and tablets, and now you can access the study guide, your own pages and your schedule with your smartphone.What's new?
Starbucks on the go will be available in the Arcada bulding (small square) from Monday August 31st. Take the opportunity to stop by during the opening day on Tuesday September 1st from 9 AM.During the opening all drinks are sold at half price. Coffee experts from Selecta will be there to tell you about Starbucks, the products they offer and also assist if necessary.Arcada is the first university of applied sciences in Finland to recieve their own Starbucks on the go-café. Welcome to stop by and have a cup of Starbucks coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
Each year Arcada's annual Lucia-parade gathers students, staff and pensioners to a traditional Lucia celebration with mulled wine and gingerbreads.
