Are you interested in climate change and want to learn more about it? A new course “Climate change now”, offered by Open University of the University of Helsinki, tackles the question of climate change with the lead of four climate change academic experts. The course provides the basic scientific knowledge on the climate system as well as reinforces the student’s understanding of climate change as a deep human and societal challenge, and discusses means to participate in resolving it.

The course is based on new e-learning material www.climatenow.fi. The course involves four contact-sessions (language is English), group work and independent study. The course can be taken as a short (2 credit points) or a long version (5 credit points), and no prior knowledge on the subject is required. The course can be taken fully in English. The course fee is 30 euros.
