Guidelines for Autumn 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Arcada’s campus reopened on 3.8, but a large part of the activities of the UAS will continue remotely. Arcada’s security team, under the leadership of the Rector Mona Forsskåhl, made a new assessment of the situation on 14.8. The updated instructions take into account the new national recommendations given by the Government.

Welcome to Arcada's Support Workshop online 10.11!

Are you writing your thesis or struggling with other written assignments? Do you have difficulty finding motivation or feeling stuck in your studies? Are you using too much of your time worrying about grammar, solving technical problems or getting the citations and references right?

Welcome to the support workshop for students 10.11 online via Zoom at 15-17 (3-5 p.m.)! In the support workshop (formerly called Late afternoon at the Library), staff from Arcada's various units are available to help students with their assignments and studies.

Press release from the Finnish UAS's: UAS rectors and student unions appeal to students to stop the spread of coronavirus

Finland’s coronavirus situation is rapidly deteriorating, and there are also chains of infection among students at universities of applied sciences. This has led to an increase in distance learning and even to the closure of campuses in different parts of Finland.

Many of the infections have originated from events where many students have gathered during their free time. The rectors and student unions of universities of applied sciences would like to remind students of responsible behaviour.

Notice to Arcada employees and students about possible coronavirus exposure

Several cases of coronavirus infections (COVID-19) have been detected at Arcada University of Applied Sciences during the past week. People who have been exposed in close contact have been contacted by the City of Helsinki's Epidemiological Operations Unit and placed in quarantine.
