What?

A scholarship that was founded in 2013 by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden (on her 70th birthday) and Swedish Care International, of Her Majesty’s many years of commitment to the quality of care and nursing for the elderly and people with dementia diagnosis. The scholarship is today available to apply for in Sweden, Finland, Poland, Germany, Lithuania and the USA.

 

How?

Applications are accepted between 1 September – 6 November 2020 on qsna.awardsplatform.com External link (application can be filled in English, Swedish or Finnish – even in Lithuanian, German and Polish).

The application should contain an idea or invention / problem solution related to COVID-19. The application contains 4 questions about your COVID-19 related idea, followed by a few personal questions about who you are (takes max 15-20 minutes to fill). Special merit will be given to ideas that not only addresses COVID-19 challenges within healthcare, but also can be implemented among the elderly care. Remember, you can apply with as many ideas as you want to during the same period!

 

Why?

The winner is rewarded with a scholarship of EUR 6000, in addition to a unique and individually tailored internship program (5 days) with one of the project's  partners (e.g. Attendo, Nordnet, Elisa, Konstsamfundet and Vårdväskan/Color4Care). The winner can also except to be given some attention in media, both international and local media.

 

Who can apply?

Both nursing students and graduated nurses who are already working are able to apply for the scholarship. You can also nominate a friend or colleague (through qsna.awardsplatform.com External link).
