At the beginning of your studies you create an individual study plan which you may update when the studies progress.

Remember to always register for each academic year.

When you begin to plan your studies, please follow the below mentioned steps.

Activate your personal study plan in Sisu and the timing template via the timeline. The timing template shows you in which period and during what year of studies a course should be completed (instructions for how to activate your Timing template under Timeline). Check regularly which courses in the study plan you have complete and which courses that possibly have been left unfinished. Please also check when these courses take place and what you have to do to pass them. Check your Study calendar in Sisu External link in order to see your schedule.

In Sisu you can see the courses you have registered for, the courses you have completed and which courses you still have to complete. You can check your course registrations' status under Registration External link and under My profile/Registrations. External link

Strive to pass all exams on the first attempt, otherwise there is a risk that they pile up and your workload becomes uneven. If you do not pass an examination on the first attempt, check Itslearning for information about the possibility to supplement or redo it. If the form of examination is a written exam, you should check the date for re-examination in advance. A failed course can be re-examined two times and the registration for a re-exam is done according to the teacher´s instructions.

It is possible to accredit previous knowledge or knowledge that you have acquired at another educational institution; this also applies to informally acquired knowledge such as workplace practice.

You must carry out your studies yourself. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and may affect your future studies negatively.

Higher education studies are based on you taking responsibility for your studies. However, Arcada offers help along the way. You may find all the support services available on the page Study support.
