Studies abroad

Students at Arcada have different options when it comes to going abroad and conducting part of their studies overseas.

  • To study abroad is enriching for you as a student on both a professional and personal level. The experiences gained opens new doors and opportunities.
  • Exchange studies are integrated in your degree and should not delay your graduation.
  • The minimum time for a so called long exchange period is 2 months but we recommend that you go on exchange for one semester or for the whole academic year.

Application Period

For exchange in autumn 2023 or the whole academic year 2023/24:

N.B! From spring 2023 onwards, applications to our partners universities in Canada (autumn OR spring!) always need to be handed in during the spring term due to long application processes.

For more information about the application process, see Application for studies abroad.

Study Abroad Info Sessions

We organize information sessions about the Study Abroad process for everyone who wishes to apply for student exchange. The info sessions are held in September and in January before the application deadline. However, we advice you to have a look at the information on these pages in advance, as you need time to prepare your application. Start by reading the page How do I apply.

Information sessions in January 2023:

  • Thursday 12.1 at 14.30-15.30 in D4109 or
  • Tuesday 17.1 at 10.00-11.00 in D4109

Both sessions are held both on campus and online through Zoom. If you want to take part in the session online; sign up through no later that 2 hours before the sessions begins. You will then get a link to the session through an e-mail.

So all in all it was a great trip with many new experiences, new friends and sometimes an emotional rollercoaster between wanting to go home, wanting to stay and just not knowing what you want to do. To be honest if I had the chance I would have stayed another year but I am sure I will be back soon.
