Competency aims

The aim of the course is to focus on the exposure
to and practice of general language functions,
both in spoken and written language (= CEFR A.2.1)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to
-participate in discussions concerning themselves, their everyday lives, work and studies.
- grasp the main contents of an easy newspaper article ( simplified language; i.e. "easy reader"
-understand spoken Swedish, when spoken slowly and clearly.

Course contents

 The focus of the course is oral Swedish.
The topics include:
-booking train and flight tickets, booking a hotel room, understanding timetables, ordering food at a restaurant.
-dialogues covering different everyday situations.
The grammar covers the past tense, the plural of nouns and the comparison of adjectives.
During the course different aspects of the Nordic countries will be presented.

-describe persons, understand simple
directions.

Swedish for Beginners 2 (level A.1.2)

Additional information

Attendance is compulsory, at least 75%.

Attendance : 10 %
