The aim of the course is to develop competence

inclusion work and gain understanding of issues
of diversity,
inclusion and citizenship.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is
expected to be able to...
- account for the concepts diversity, inclusion
and culture,
- Describe relationships between diversity,
inclusion and culture and
connect to challenges that professionals
encounter in welfare work,
- identify and critically reflect on issues of
diversity,
inclusion and culture within the framework of
professional and
organizational development.
Course contents
Three themes:
- Social change and theoretical perspectives
- Inclusion work
- Operational development (based on field studies)

Examination 1: Presentation of self from an
identity perspective
Examination 2: Policy study on integration and
diversity.Discussion and comparison between
Finland-Sweden (group
assignment)Field study visit together with
reflective discussion around challenges and
opportunities for operational development.
Examination 3. Individual rapport.
