Competency aims

The aim of the course is to provide basic
knowledge of tourism industry in Finland and
recognize the meaning of different organizations
in the developing process of tourism in Finland.
You will also be
familiar with different attractions and tourism
destinations as the competition factors for
market share.You will receive basic knowledge
of how to operate different kinds of
accommodation companies and the products on a
sustainable way.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course you are expected to
have a general knowledge och the structure of
travel industry in Finland. You are familiar with
key actors in this field. You have also
understanding for planning of competitive
products both for national and international
guests.You
can also recognize some of the key destinations
and attractions in Finland. You are able to
identify how different accommodation companies
differ from each other and services they
will give

following examinations:
Examination 1 Attractions/review of Helsinki
(25p)
Examination 2 Regions in Finland (20p)
Examination 3 Home exam (30p)
Examination 4:Company visits activity/report
(25p)

All parts needs be passed.

The examinations contribute to the final grade
as follows: Total points max 100, for to pass
the course minimum 50 points requires
