Competency aims

The aim of the course is to provide a basic understanding of
transmedia storytelling. Students will gain competence in
conceiving and developing a story idea for use in a transmedia
production.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to:
1. explain the principles of transmedia storytelling;
2. describe the history and prehistory of transmedia;
3. understand and use some of the basic transmedia toolkit.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Students must have access to a computer, and understand
how to create an account on a website, and download and
upload material. Students must be able to zip and unzip files,
in order to receive and send assignments.

Additional information

The course has five modules, each lasting one week. The first
module starts at Monday, June 3, and the final module closes
on Friday July 6. You may take each module at any times
during the week it is active. Because some modules involve
group conversations you must take each module while it is
active.
