At the end of the course the student is
expected to have a good working knowledge of the
products and services offered by the banking
industry to individuals.

Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to give the student a
good general knowledge of the services provided
by the banking industry to individuals. This
course is intended to be taken as one component
within the banking module - having passed the
entire module the student will also have a good
working knowledge about the role of the industry,
and services and products offered also to
corporations.

Loans and mortgages
Investment and savings products
Mutual funds
Introduction to insurance products

Prerequisites and co-requisites

A general theoretical knowledge of business
administration or entrepreneurship is required
(5 ects basic level course OR practical
experience).
Students with inadequate background may be
removed from the course

Additional information

The introductory session/lecture is held in August.
The presentations are held during two long days in
September.

Recommended or required reading

The literature will consist articles on the
banking industry, and marketing materials&terms of
common banking products. The full literature list
will be published before the course starts.

Assessment requirements

The examination consists of 5 online quizes (25
points), 5 learning diaries (25 points) and a

report (50 points). To pass, a minimum of 50

must be obtained.
