Competency aims

The aim of the course is to develop medical -
technological and
ethical competence in midwifery so that student
is
able to meet
and care the woman in different periods and
situations of life.
Student knows the global rights of sexual- and
reproductive
health and can use this knowledge in health
care
and knows
where to find support.
Student have knowledge of complications and
care
in abnormal
pregnancy.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is
expected
to have ethical
and pedagogical competences and knowledge to
meet
the
woman and family as sexual beings in different
situations, from
different cultures.
Student has competence to supervise couples in
different family
planning questions and meet families with
ethical
and respectful
way. Student has knowledge of how people
develops
as sexual
beings. Student is able to meet people from
sexual
minorities.
